Bulk Convert Google Slides to PDF With Animations Flattened

PDF is a static format. Animations and transitions in Google Slides do not carry over to a PDF export. When you export a presentation to PDF, each animated element appears in the state it would be in at the end of the animation. This is the expected behavior and there is nothing you need to configure. The bulk export handles this the same way as a single export.

What happens to animations in the PDF

Each slide in the PDF shows all animated elements in their final position, as if all animations on that slide have completed. Elements set to appear via animation are visible in the PDF. Elements set to disappear via animation are not shown.

Transitions between slides

Slide transitions do not appear in the PDF. The PDF simply shows each slide as a static page with no transition effect between them.

Reviewing before bulk export

If your presentation uses animations to reveal content sequentially, the PDF will show all content visible at once on each slide. Review one exported PDF before running the full batch to confirm the layout looks correct with all animated content visible simultaneously.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I create a PDF where each animation step is a separate page?

Not with the standard export. You would need to manually duplicate slides for each animation step, or use a third-party tool. The standard bulk export creates one page per slide.

Will elements hidden by animation show up in the PDF?

Elements that are set to disappear via animation will not appear in the PDF. Elements that are set to appear via animation will be visible in the PDF in their final position.
