Bulk Convert Google Docs to PDF
Converting Google Docs one by one wastes time when you have ten, twenty, or a hundred documents to export. The Docs to PDF extension lets you select multiple documents in Google Drive and convert them all to PDF in a single operation. No waiting between downloads, no manual steps for each file.

Explore →Why bulk conversion saves real time
If you export a Google Doc manually it takes about five clicks: File, Download, PDF, wait for the download, rename the file. Do that twenty times and you have spent fifteen minutes on pure repetition. Bulk conversion removes all of that. You select the documents, click once, and the extension handles the rest. For teachers sending weekly materials, businesses preparing client reports, or anyone managing recurring document sets, this adds up to hours saved each month.
How it works
Install the Docs to PDF Chrome extension from the Web Store. Open Google Drive, select the documents you want to convert using the checkboxes, and click the extension icon in your browser. The extension sends each selected document through Google's own export API and downloads the resulting PDFs to your computer. No file leaves Google's servers in an unencrypted form, and no third-party processing happens between your Drive and your downloads folder.
Supported document types
The extension converts Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides to PDF. It works on documents you own, documents shared with you with at least Viewer access, and files inside shared drives. It does not convert uploaded Word or Excel files unless Google has already converted them to the Google format.
Formatting stays intact
One common worry with bulk conversion is that formatting breaks when you rush the process. That does not happen here because the extension uses Google's own export endpoint for every file. The same engine that powers File > Download > PDF runs for each document. Fonts, tables, images, headers, footers, page margins: all of them render exactly as they appear in the editor.
Free plan and limits
The free plan handles a reasonable number of conversions per month. If you regularly export large batches, the Pro plan removes the monthly limit and adds priority processing. Both plans work on the same extension, so there is no separate download needed when you upgrade.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many documents can I convert at once?
You can select as many documents as you need. The extension processes them in sequence. On the free plan there is a monthly conversion limit. The Pro plan has no limit.
Does bulk conversion work on shared Google Drive files?
Yes. As long as you have at least Viewer access to the documents, the extension can export them to PDF. This includes files in shared drives and documents that colleagues have shared with you.
Can I bulk convert documents inside a specific folder?
Yes. Open the folder in Google Drive, select all documents inside it using Ctrl+A or Cmd+A, and then run the extension. It will convert only the files that are Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
Will the PDFs be saved to a specific folder?
The PDFs are downloaded to your browser's default downloads folder. You can change this in your Chrome settings. The extension names each file after the original Google Doc title.
Does bulk conversion affect the original Google Docs?
No. The conversion creates new PDF files. The original Google Docs in your Drive are not changed, moved, or deleted.
Is there a way to merge all selected docs into one PDF?
Yes, the merge feature lets you combine multiple Google Docs into a single PDF. This is different from bulk conversion, which creates one PDF per document. Both options are available in the extension.
