Bulk Convert Google Sheets to PDF
Exporting Google Sheets to PDF manually means clicking through File > Download for every single spreadsheet. Select and convert multiple spreadsheets at once
Open Google Drive and navigate to the folder containing your spreadsheets. Switch to list view using the grid icon at the top right. Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) and click each spreadsheet you want to convert. You can also press Ctrl+A or Cmd+A to select everything in the current folder view. Once your selection is set, click the Docs to PDF extension icon in your Chrome toolbar. The extension processes each spreadsheet in sequence and downloads the PDFs.
Which sheets get included in each PDF
By default, Google Sheets exports all visible tabs when you export to PDF. If your spreadsheet has multiple tabs, each tab becomes a page in the resulting PDF. Hidden tabs are not included. If you only want specific tabs, you need to unhide or delete the others before running the bulk export, or use the single-sheet detail option to export individual tabs.
Formatting in spreadsheet PDFs
Spreadsheet PDFs can look different from what you see on screen because the page boundaries do not always align with the data. Google Sheets uses print area settings to determine what appears on each PDF page. Before running a bulk export, check that each spreadsheet has a defined print area. You can set this under File > Print > Set custom page breaks. Charts embedded in a sheet export as static images in the correct position.
Shared drives and permissions
Bulk conversion works on any Google Sheet you can open, including files in shared drives and spreadsheets shared by colleagues. You need at least Viewer access. If a file has download restrictions set by the owner, the export for that file will fail and the extension will report it at the end of the batch. Documents you own convert without any permission issues.
Free plan and limits
The Docs to PDF extension is free to install. The free plan includes a monthly conversion allowance that covers typical use. Each spreadsheet counts as one conversion regardless of how many tabs it has. If you regularly export large volumes of spreadsheets, the Pro plan removes the monthly limit. Neither plan adds watermarks to exported PDFs.

Can I bulk convert Google Sheets to PDF with all tabs included?
Yes. When you export a Google Sheet to PDF, all visible tabs are included by default. Each tab becomes a page or set of pages in the PDF. Hidden tabs are skipped.
How do I prevent gridlines from showing in bulk-converted spreadsheets?
Open each spreadsheet and go to View > Show > Gridlines to toggle gridlines off before converting. Alternatively, use the print settings under File > Print and disable gridlines there. The extension uses the current print settings for each file.
Why does my spreadsheet PDF have extra blank pages?
Extra blank pages usually mean the print area extends beyond your data. Set a custom print area in File > Print before converting. This is a spreadsheet-level setting you control in each Google Sheet.
Can I convert a single tab from a multi-tab spreadsheet?
The bulk export converts the whole spreadsheet. To export a single tab, open the spreadsheet, right-click the tab and select 'Copy to > New spreadsheet', then convert that new file.
Does bulk converting Google Sheets work on large spreadsheets with thousands of rows?
Yes, but large spreadsheets take longer to process. The extension sends each sheet through Google's export API, which handles the rendering. Very large spreadsheets may take 30 to 60 seconds each. Keep Chrome open while the batch runs.
