Bulk Export Google Classroom Documents to PDF

Google Classroom keeps everything in Google Drive behind the scenes. Every assignment you post, every student submission, every piece of course material lives in a Drive folder that you can access. The Docs to PDF extension lets you open those Drive folders and bulk export everything to PDF in one operation. Whether you need to archive a full course, share materials in a read-only format, or collect student work for grading offline, bulk export from Classroom-linked folders cuts out hours of manual clicking.

1

Where Google Classroom files live in Drive

When you create a Google Classroom course, Google automatically creates a folder in your Drive named 'Classroom'. Inside it, each course has its own folder, and within that, a 'Class Drive folder' appears for shared materials. Student submissions appear in the 'Classroom' folder under the assignment name. You can navigate to any of these folders in Drive and run the bulk export from there.

2

Exporting course materials to PDF

Open your Drive and navigate to the Classroom folder for the course you want. Find the folder with your shared class materials. Select all the documents, spreadsheets, or presentations you want, and run the Docs to PDF extension. Each file becomes a separate PDF in your downloads folder.

3

Exporting student submissions

Student submissions for each assignment appear in a folder named after the assignment inside your Classroom course folder in Drive. Open that folder, select the submissions, and run the extension. Each student's document converts to a PDF named after the original file.

4

Permissions and access for Classroom exports

As a teacher, you own the class materials folder and have full access to student submission copies. You can export any document in those folders. Students do not receive notifications when you export their submitted documents.
