Convert Google Docs to PDF in one click

The built-in Google Docs export path requires navigating through File, Download, and then choosing a format. Docs to PDF adds an Export to PDF button to Google Drive and to the document itself, and saves the PDF straight to your Drive.

1

How it works

After installing the extension and signing in, an Export to PDF button appears next to the title of an open Google Doc, and in Google Drive when you select documents. Click it, choose where to save, and the PDF is created.

2

Your document's own settings

Page size, margins and orientation come from the document itself (File > Page setup in Google Docs), so the PDF matches what you see in the editor.

3

No context switching

You stay on the same tab and the same document. Google generates the PDF in the background and Docs to PDF saves it to Google Drive.

4

Whole folders too

For more than one document, select several files in Drive, or use the Docs to PDF side panel to export a whole folder in one go.

5

Speed matters

When you export PDFs multiple times a day, every extra click adds up. One-click conversion is built for people who treat PDF export as a routine part of their workflow, not a special event.
