Convert a Shared Google Slides Presentation to PDF
Converting a shared Google Slides presentation to PDF works the same as converting your own files. Select the presentation in Drive or open it in the editor and run the Docs to PDF extension. You need at least Viewer access and the owner must allow downloads.
Access requirements for export
Viewer, Commenter, and Editor access all allow you to export a shared presentation to PDF through the extension. The export uses your account credentials and checks your access level. If you can view the presentation, you can generally export it.
When export is restricted
Presentation owners can restrict downloads through Share settings. If downloads are restricted, the extension returns an error. Contact the owner and ask them to enable downloads for viewers and commenters.
Exporting without modifying the original
Exporting to PDF from a shared file does not modify the original presentation. The owner's file is unchanged. Your export creates a new local PDF file on your computer.
