Convert Google Slides to PDF

A Google Slides share link requires an internet connection and a browser to view. A PDF can be opened offline, sent as an email attachment, printed, and stored in any file system. For presentations you send to clients, include in proposals, or archive after a meeting, PDF is the more reliable format.

Google Slides offers several layout options when exporting to PDF. You can export one slide per page for a full-size view of each slide, multiple slides per page in a grid layout for a compact handout, or slides with speaker notes printed below each one. The online converter exports one slide per page. For handouts or speaker notes, use File > Print settings and preview in Google Slides and click Download as PDF.

Speaker notes can be included or excluded from the PDF export. Including them is useful when sharing materials with a co-presenter or when archiving the presentation with your preparation notes attached. Excluding them gives a clean PDF with only the slide content visible.

PDF is a static format. Animations and slide transitions do not carry over to a PDF export. Each slide appears as a static image in the state it would look on first appearance, before any animations run. If a slide has content that appears progressively via animations, all content appears at once in the PDF.
