Bulk Convert All Files from a Shared Drive to PDF
When you need to export everything from a shared drive folder, navigate into the folder, press Ctrl+A or Cmd+A to select all files, and run the Docs to PDF extension. Each Google Doc, Sheet, and Slides file converts to a separate PDF. Non-Google files are skipped. This is the fastest path to a complete PDF export of a shared project folder.
Selecting everything in the folder
Open the shared drive folder in Google Drive and press Ctrl+A or Cmd+A. All visible files are selected. Click the Docs to PDF extension icon to start the batch. The extension skips file types it cannot convert.
Large folders in shared drives
For folders with many files, the batch may take several minutes. Keep Chrome open during the export. For very large folders, consider breaking the selection into smaller groups to make tracking easier.
After the export
PDFs land in your local downloads folder. If colleagues need the PDFs, upload them back to the shared drive or a shared location after the batch completes.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I do not have access to all files in the shared drive?
Files you cannot access are automatically skipped. The extension reports failures for files where export was not possible.
