Bulk Convert Files from a Team Drive to PDF
Google Workspace shared drives were formerly called Team Drives. They work the same way: a shared space where team members collaborate on files. Team Drive vs personal Drive
Team Drives (shared drives) are owned by the organization, not an individual. Files remain in the shared drive even if the creator leaves the organization. This makes them reliable for long-term project storage. Exporting to PDF works the same way for both personal and shared drives.
Roles in Team Drives
Team Drive roles include Viewer, Commenter, Contributor, Content Manager, and Manager. Viewer and Commenter roles can export to PDF. Contributor and higher can add files back to the drive. Your role determines whether you can upload the resulting PDFs to the shared drive.
Exporting for team distribution
After bulk exporting from a team drive, you may want to share the PDFs with the same team. Upload them to a shared location in the team drive or distribute via email or Slack. The PDFs do not automatically go back to the drive.
