Save Google Doc as PDF from the Drive App on Android
Saving from the Drive app on Android lets you export a document as PDF from the file list without opening it. This is faster when you want to export one document quickly while browsing Drive.
Accessing the export option in Drive
Saving from the Drive app on Android starts in the file list. Locate the Google Doc in Drive, then tap the three-dot icon next to its name. Scroll through the menu and tap Send a copy.
Choosing PDF as the format
After tapping Send a copy, a dialog appears asking for the format. Tap PDF. The Drive app generates the PDF and opens the Android share sheet with the file attached.
Saving or sharing from the share sheet
From the Android share sheet, choose Save to device (if available) or select a specific app to receive the PDF. To save it to your Downloads folder, tap any file manager or files app in the share sheet that supports saving.
