Bulk Convert Files from a Google Drive Subfolder to PDF
Google Drive folders often have layers of subfolders for organization. The Docs to PDF extension converts files in the folder view you have open. To convert a specific subfolder, navigate into that subfolder first, then select all files and run the export. The parent folder and other subfolders are not affected.
Navigating to the subfolder
In Google Drive, click through the folder structure until you reach the subfolder you want to export. The breadcrumb at the top of Drive shows your current location. Once inside the subfolder, use Ctrl+A or Cmd+A to select all files.
Exporting from multiple subfolders
To export multiple subfolders, open each one separately and run the extension per subfolder. This keeps your output organized by subfolder. If you need files from many subfolders combined into one batch, consider Apps Script for a more automated approach.
Keeping output organized
Create a named folder in your downloads directory for each subfolder you export. Label them to match the Drive subfolder names. This makes it easy to reconnect the PDFs to their source folder structure.

Can I bulk convert files across multiple subfolders in one batch?
Not with the Chrome extension. Google Drive selection is limited to one folder at a time. For multi-subfolder batches, use Google Apps Script.
Will the extension try to convert the parent folder files too?
No. The extension only converts what you have selected. If you are inside a subfolder and select all, only files in that subfolder are converted.
