Convert Google Sheets to PDF

Spreadsheets present a layout challenge that documents do not. A document flows top to bottom and each page contains text. A spreadsheet can have hundreds of columns and rows that do not map neatly to letter-sized pages. Google Sheets handles this with scaling options: fit to page, repeat headers on each page, and print area selection. The extension uses whatever print settings you have configured in the spreadsheet, so setting those up once gives you consistent results every time.

Before exporting, go to File > Print in Google Sheets and configure the settings. Choose whether to export the current sheet or the whole workbook. Set the scale to fit to page width if the data is wider than a single page. Enable gridlines if you want them in the PDF. Once these settings are saved, the extension uses them for every subsequent export.

Charts embedded in a Google Sheet export as static images in the PDF. The chart reflects the data at the point of export. Line charts, bar charts, pie charts, and combination charts all export correctly. Charts sized to fill a cell range will appear at that size in the PDF.

A Google Sheets workbook can contain many sheets. The extension can export all sheets as a single PDF with each sheet starting on a new page, or a single sheet at a time. Use the single-sheet option when you need to share one tab without exposing data from others.

Sharing a Google Sheets link gives the recipient potential access to formulas, hidden sheets, and version history. A PDF exports only what is visible: the values in the cells, the formatting, and any charts. For reports, client summaries, or data you need to share but not expose, PDF is the right format.
