Merge Google Docs Shared with Me
The Shared with me section of Google Drive holds all documents that others have given you access to. The Docs to PDF extension can pull from this section and merge those documents along with your own files.
Accessing shared documents
Open Google Drive and click Shared with me in the left sidebar. Documents shared by teammates, clients, and collaborators appear here. Hold Ctrl or Cmd to select the ones you want, or use the extension's file picker to navigate to this view.
Mixing your documents and shared documents
You can include documents from Shared with me and your own Drive in the same merge. Select from both locations using the file picker. The extension does not distinguish between owned and shared files during the merge process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I merge a document that was shared with view-only access?
Yes. View-only access is sufficient to export a document as PDF and include it in a merge.
