Merge Google Slides with Consistent Slide Numbering
Slide numbers that reset at the start of each presentation look wrong in a merged PDF. Preparing your decks before merging ensures numbers run continuously through the combined document.
Removing per-deck slide numbers
In each presentation, go to Insert > Slide numbers and remove the slide number element. After merging, the combined PDF will not have embedded slide numbers. The PDF viewer shows page counts, which is often sufficient.
Adding numbers that account for the merge
If you need printed slide numbers, calculate the starting number for each deck based on how many slides come before it. Set the starting number in each deck individually before merging. For example, if the first deck has 12 slides, set the second deck's slide numbers to start at 13.
