Save Google Doc as PDF in One Click
One-click saving means you never open the document, never navigate a menu, and never rename the file. Select the document in Google Drive, click the extension icon, and the PDF is in your downloads folder.
How the one-click save works
One-click saving through the extension reads the selected files from your Google Drive view and calls the export API directly. You do not need the document open in a tab. The extension icon in your Chrome toolbar is the only button you press.
Setting up the extension
Install the Docs to PDF extension from the Chrome Web Store. Pin it to your toolbar by clicking the puzzle piece icon in Chrome and pressing the pin next to Docs to PDF. Now it is always visible and one click away whenever you need it.
Works on any number of documents
One click exports one document, or thirty. Select as many files as you need in Google Drive and click the extension icon once. The extension processes them all in sequence. You do not click once per file.
Frequently Asked Questions
