Export a Shared Google Sheet as PDF
Exporting a shared Google Sheet as PDF works as long as you have at least Viewer access. The extension uses your own Google credentials to call the export API, so you do not need edit access or ownership of the file.
Permission requirements
Viewer access is sufficient to export a shared Google Sheet as PDF. If the file owner has disabled download and print for Viewers, the export will fail with a permission error. Ask the owner to enable download access if you need to export.
Exporting from a shared drive
Files in a shared Google Workspace drive can be exported the same way as files in your personal Drive. Open Google Drive, click 'Shared drives' in the sidebar, navigate to the file, and run the extension.
The exported PDF is yours
The PDF is downloaded to your local computer. It is not stored anywhere in Google's infrastructure after the export. The original shared file is not affected.
Frequently Asked Questions

Will the file owner know I exported their sheet as PDF?
