Bulk Convert Google Docs in a Folder to PDF
The fastest way to convert all Google Docs in a folder to PDF is to open that folder in Drive, select everything with Ctrl+A or Cmd+A, and run the Docs to PDF extension. Every Google Doc in the folder becomes a separate PDF in your downloads folder.
Open the folder first
Navigate into the specific folder in Google Drive before selecting files. If you select from the root Drive view, you may accidentally include files from multiple folders. Opening the target folder first keeps the selection clean and predictable.
Select all with a keyboard shortcut
Press Ctrl+A on Windows or Cmd+A on Mac to select everything visible in the folder. If the folder contains other file types like images or uploaded PDFs, the extension will skip those and only process Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. You do not need to manually deselect non-Doc files.
Run the extension
With your selection made, click the Docs to PDF icon in the Chrome toolbar. The extension reads the list of selected files, filters for convertible types, and begins the export. A progress counter shows how many files have been processed.
After the conversion
All PDFs land in your Chrome downloads folder. Each file is named after the original Google Doc. If you want the PDFs in a specific location on your computer, move them after the download completes or configure Chrome to always ask where to save files.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if the folder contains subfolders?
The extension does not recurse into subfolders. It converts only the files directly inside the folder you opened. To convert files in a subfolder, open that subfolder and repeat the process.
What happens to Google Sheets and Slides in the folder?
The extension converts Google Sheets and Slides to PDF as well. Each becomes its own PDF file.
