Select Multiple Google Docs and Convert to PDF
You do not need to convert every file in a folder. If you only want specific documents, hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) and click each one individually. Once you have your selection, the Docs to PDF extension exports all of them to PDF in a single operation.
Picking individual files
In Google Drive, switch to list view for the easiest selection. Hold Ctrl or Cmd and click each document you want. A blue checkbox appears next to each selected file. You can click a selected file again to deselect it. There is no limit on how many files you can select this way.
Shift-click for a range
If the documents you need are listed consecutively, click the first one, then hold Shift and click the last one. Drive selects all files in between. Combine this with Ctrl+click to add individual files outside the range.
Running the conversion
With your selection made, click the Docs to PDF extension icon. The extension reads the selected files and begins exporting them. It processes one file at a time and downloads each PDF as it finishes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I select files across different folders?
No. Google Drive only allows selecting files within the same folder view at one time. To convert files from different folders, run the extension once per folder.
Is there a maximum number of files I can select?
There is no hard selection limit. The extension processes all selected files. On the free plan, monthly conversion limits apply.
