Bulk Convert Google Docs from a Shared Drive to PDF
Shared drives in Google Workspace give teams a common space for documents. Converting files from a shared drive to PDF works exactly like converting from your personal Drive, as long as you have at least Viewer access to the files.
Accessing shared drive files
In Google Drive, click 'Shared drives' in the left sidebar. Open the shared drive and navigate to the folder containing the documents you want. Select the files and run the Docs to PDF extension as normal.
Permission requirements
You need at least Viewer access to export a file to PDF. If the file is set to 'no download' by the owner, the export will fail. Ask the file owner to update the sharing settings if you need PDF access.
Who the PDFs belong to
The exported PDFs are downloaded to your local computer. They are not added to the shared drive. If you want the PDFs in the shared drive, upload them manually after conversion.
