Batch Export Files from a Shared Drive as PDF
Batch exporting from a shared drive works the same as exporting from your personal Drive. Open the shared drive, select the files, and run the extension. Permission requirements apply.
Accessing shared drive files
In Google Drive, click 'Shared drives' in the left sidebar. Open the shared drive and navigate to the folder you want. Select the files you need and click the extension icon.
Permission requirements
You need at least Viewer access to export a file. If any file in the batch has download disabled by the owner, that file fails and the rest continue. The extension reports which files failed at the end.
Exporting for the whole team
If you are the team member responsible for producing PDFs from shared documents, running the batch export from the shared drive saves everyone else from needing to do it themselves. The PDFs download to your local machine.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I batch export from a shared Google Workspace drive?
Yes. Navigate to the shared drive in Drive, select files, and run the extension.
What if I don't have permission to export some files in the shared drive?
Those files fail silently. The extension continues with the rest of the batch and reports failures at the end.
