Export a Shared Google Slides Deck as PDF

Exporting a shared Google Slides deck as PDF works with Viewer access. If you can open and view the presentation, you can export it as a PDF using the extension.

Access requirements

Viewer access is enough to export a shared presentation as PDF. If the file owner has disabled download for Viewers, the export will fail. Ask the owner to allow downloads if you need a PDF copy.

Exporting from the shared link

If you received a shared link, open the presentation. Once it loads in your browser, click the Docs to PDF extension icon. The export runs the same as any file you own.

Exporting from Shared with me in Drive

In Google Drive, click 'Shared with me' in the sidebar. Find the presentation, select it, and click the extension icon. The export runs without opening the file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I export a Google Slides deck that someone shared with me?

Yes, if you have at least Viewer access and download is not disabled by the owner.

Will the presentation owner see that I exported it?
